Drybrook/Cinderford 47 Monmouth 5
The Drybrook and Cinderford amalgamated under 12s took on Monmouth at a wet Drybrook ground and produced an inspired performance.Playing up the slope first to score was Tom Leadbeater who powered over from close range, forwards and backs combined well to send Matt Alcock over for the second try. The backs were passing and running strongly with Mitch Skelton particularly impressive, Zac Miles was next to score following a powerful surge upfield.
Again good running from the backs saw Charlie Davis make good ground before Andrew Hoult dived over to score. AJ Jenkins was running well from fullback and captain Mat Wilce directing play well at fly half.
In the second half Monmouth rallied well and came back with a well taken try, the revival was short lived as Aaron Love picked up and drove over for a good try, Great running again from Allcock gave him his second of the day. Most improved player Guy Pearson was making some great breaks and carrying the ball well. Next to score was man of the match Charlie Davis with a scintillating break from inside is own half.
Prop Nathan Morgan converted 6 of the tries.
