Cinderford vs Berry Hill
A squad of 21 Cinderford players met at Dockham Road on Sunday 07 October for their second fixture of the season. Two games were played, with Berry Hill coming out on top in both.Cinderford 5 vs Berry Hill 25
In the first game, Berry Hill through good defence, forcing errors from Cinderford, saw them race into a three try lead by half time. Cinderford rallied early in the second half with a try by Jack Worgan who sidestepped his way through several Hill defenders. With more mistakes and missed tackles by Cinderford, Berry Hill scored two more tries before the final whistle. Berry Hill were worthy winners five tries to one.Cinderford 20 vs Berry Hill 25
In the second game, Cinderford fielded a completely different team mainly Under 7s. This match was a closer affair and after scoring the first two tries of the game, Cinderford hit back with well taken tries from Harry Jones and Zac Williams. The second half saw five more tries scored, three for Berry Hill and two for Cinderford. Harry Jones scored his second try of the match with a fine diagonal run touching down in the corner and Josh Wynn his first of the season after some good close quarter passing from Cinderford.Loyd Jones, Jake and Cory Anderson made debuts for Cinderford. For Cinderford, the Under 8s man of the match was Brandon Freeman with Maddie Worgan most improved and for the Under 7s Loyd Jones was man of the match with Zac Williams most improved.
