Cinderford Match Report

Cinderford played on Sunday 2nd March at Dockham Road, the Under 7s and 8s played two matches each.

Cinderford U7s 20 Drybrook U7s 10

The Under 7's played first with Cinderford winning by 4 tries to 2. The match was evenly contested with Cinderford edging it in their defencive play. Scorers for Cinderford were Harry Taylor, Matthew Jones, Emily Dalrymple and Jack Worgan. Both Matthew and Emily scored on their Under 7's debut.

Cinderford U8s 5 Drybrook U8s 35

The Under 8's played the second game, Drybrook inflicting a heavy defeat on Cinderford. Drybrooks defence and attack was superior all round. Jake Anderson scored Cinderford solitary try in a 7 try to one defeat.

Cinderford U7s 25 Drybrook U7s 10

The Under 7's contested the third match and again Cinderford came out on top by five tries to two. Harry Taylor stood out for Cinderford scoring two tries, but ?twinkle toes' Jack Worgan scored the try of the game with a darting run down the touch line, covering three quarters the length of the pitch. William Salter scored his first official try ever' and Matthew Jones completed the scoring.

Cinderford U8s 5 Drybrook U8s 15

The last game was between the Under 8's. Cinderford put up a better performance, but Drybrook again came out on top, by three tries to one. Cinderfords captain, Brandon Freeman scored Cinderfords solitary try, but Cinderfords improved defence was their outstanding feature.

Man of the Match awards were given to Edwin Matthieson (U8s) and Jack Worgan (U7s), while Most Improved awards were given to Oscar Pratten (U8s) and William Salter (U7s).
