Cinderford's impressive start to the season continued with a third straight win and another 50-point haul.

The Foresters showed their intent early in the game when prop James Brooks was driven over the Luton try-line from a line-out on the home 22. Danny Trigg added the conversion.

Luton hit back, however, with a well-taken try from full-back Ben Brown, converted by Kieron Davies.

A strong run from Adesina Obileye created the space for Cinderford's second touchdown on 15 minutes. Toby Wilson raced through the space for the score, with Trigg converting.

Davies and Trigg exchanged penalties - Trigg's kick taking him past 1,000 first XV points for his club.

Just before half-time, the visitors took a tighter grip on the game with another Toby Wilson try. Dewi Scourfield collected a poor Luton clearance kick and put his midfield partner in the clear. Trigg's conversion made it 24-10 to Cinderford.

Luton came out of the blocks strongly at the start of the second-half but the Cinderford defence again looked formidable.

Eventually, the Foresters moved up-field, and Chris McNeil claimed the unconverted bonus point score following another line-out catch-and-drive. McNeil scored again in the 65th minute from an identical move, with Trigg slotting the extras this time.

Replacement Jed Hooper - a player with a big future - was next to score, finishing off a tremendous passing move.

Davies grabbed a consolation effort for Luton, which he also converted, but Cinderford rounded off a great afternoon with some more terrific handling and a seventh try.

Replacement scrum-half Sean Lynn touched down with Trigg's conversion bringing up the half-century and taking his individual points tally to 15.

Cinderford's director of rugby Pete Glanville was satisfied with the win, saying: "Luton were not particularly strong, but it's nice to score 50 points anywhere."
