Cinderford dominated possession and territory but all too often, the final pass was missing.

Winger Curtis Cunningham sped in for two tries near the end of the first-half, Joe Wearne converting one of them.

Lloyd Stapleton added Cinderford's third try, but Ross hit back with an interception effort, going the length of the field to the line.

Ben Morgan made a line break for Cinderford and moved the ball to replacement Pete Towers, who beat a couple of defenders then handed the scoring pass back to Morgan. Wearne converted.

Towers scored himself shortly afterwards but the game fizzled out, with two Cinderford players and one from Ross being sin-binned for technical offences.

Cinderford should have scored more tries but it was still a worthwhile work-out before this week's Merit Table opener with Lydney United.

Jed Hooper was Cinderford's best player although Vince Lanciano looked sharp at full-back and Joe Gittings-Jones had a fine game in the second-row.
