A friendly match played at Ledbury, saw Cinderford Stages completely dominate through superior fitness, teamwork and pace. The Stags forwards were rampant throughout and with the backs completing numerous fine moves the Stags were well worthy of their 61 pts to nil victory.

Within twenty minutes the Stages were 17 pts to nil ahead through tries from Jonny Jelf (2) and Ryan Davis. Heavily dominant in the scrums, the first score was a pushover try from Jelf at number 8. The second try was again a forwards based try, with close quarter driving being finished off by Jelf. Danny Clark and Danny Kear in the thick of the action throughout. Luke Beard converted.

Try number three completed by Davis on the right wing ,was initiated with a back row move between Jelf and scrum half Danny Parry, Parry using the overlap to put Davis in, in the corner.

On twenty-five minutes a scrum won by the Stags on the half way line resulted in a pass from Parry to full back Patrick Worgan. A chip from Worgan behind the Ledbury backs, bounced wickedly for Worgan to gather and a pass to centre Jason Rowles. Rowles then raced 40 metres to the corner to score.

More close quarter driving and passing by the Stags forwards before half time, saw Jake Hinds and Danny Parry reap the benefit with a try apiece. Beard converting one.

The half-time score was 34 pts to nil.

The first 20 minutes of the second half resulted in two tries for the Stags through Scott Robbins and Danny Parry. The first came from a scrum with Jelf breaking right to pass to scrum half Parry who put Robbins in under the posts. Beard completed the conversion. Parrys try was a similar score, fashioned by prop forward Mark Bluett, Parry broke wide right to score in the corner.

Three more tries were scored by the Stags in the last ten minutes, one by Rowles and two more from Ryan Davis. In all eleven tries were score with three conversions.

After the match, captain Jonny Jelf awarded a man of the match pint to Danny Clark.
