Cinderford United 55 – 31 Tewkesbury

Cinderford United were involved in an entertaining 13-try thriller at Bell Sports & Rugby Park, running out deserved winners against a committed Tewkesbury side in the curtain-raiser to the first-team fixture.

Both teams contributed to an open, attacking contest that kept spectators engaged throughout, with Cinderford ultimately proving too strong thanks to their clinical finishing and consistent scoring.

Harry Tovey enjoyed an outstanding all-round performance, crossing for a try of his own while also adding six conversions and a penalty from the tee to keep the scoreboard ticking over.

The home side’s other tries came from Sean Gardner, Jed Soper, Sam Baker, George Evans, Lewis Mason, Neil Churchill, and Jack Hall, underlining the depth of Cinderford’s attacking threat.

Tewkesbury played their part fully, never backing down and contributing to an exciting, free-flowing game, but Cinderford’s pace and precision in attack ultimately secured a convincing 55–31 victory.
