Cinderford & RFU stage primary school cup on Wed 21 Nov

Inaugural Cinderford Primary School Cup 2012 (U9, 10, 11)
During the Autumn school term Cinderford RFC, in conjunction with the RFU and their community coaches, has delivered tag rugby classes during school PE lessons at a number of local Forest schools, primarily to Years 4, 5 and 6.
To give a focal point to this teaching a Primary School Cup competition has been set up, new this year but with the support and hope that it will become an annual event. Sponsored by Dodwells of Cheltenham, the 2012 Cup will be held at Cinderford’s Beavis Memorial Ground on Wednesday 21st November from 1pm – 4 pm and sees teams competing across U9s, U10s and U11s age groups from the following schools: St Anthony’s, Steam Mills, Forest View, Newnham C of E. All are welcome to support the youngsters in their tag rugby competition.
Looking forward, Cinderford RFC is organising more Primary School Cups next year; in February targeting Years 2 and 3, and at the end of the school year for Reception and Year 1. For more information contact Malcolm Hannaford.
