Cinderford 15-14 Llandovery

Cinderford edged out Welsh Premiership side Llandovery in a match that sprung into life in the second-half and saw the home side recover from a 14-0 deficit soon after the interval.

The defences of both side’s dominated for the majority of the first-half with scoring opportunities few and far between.  Then right on the stroke of half-time an intercepted pass enabled the visitors to breakaway and full-back Mike Evans went over for a try, which Rhodri Jones converted.

Straight from the re-start the Welshmen scored again when the overlap was created and Matt Jacobs touched down, with Jones converting.  Cinderford failed to take a couple of scoring chances before second-row Matt Lane crossed for an unconverted try in the 65th minute.

A terrific run from prop Chris Bundy then split the visitors defence and Aaron Ryan was up in support to score a try which Charlie Norman converted.  More pressure from the home side saw them awarded a penalty, late in the game and Norman was on target with the kick at goal to secure a first win over Llandovery for home side.
