An initiative being launched by Cinderford Rugby Club to encourage youngsters in the town to give the sport a try has received backing from full fibre broadband provider Gigaclear.
The Gigaclear Kidz in The Community scheme, which is due to kick-off in October, will see coaches from the rugby club working with local primary and secondary schools to help teach rugby to the next generation of players. The scheme is part of a new sponsorship package that will see Gigaclear help fund next year’s summer camp at the club as well as a minis and juniors challenge competition.
Gigaclear is currently extending its network in the town, giving around 5,500 homes and businesses the opportunity access to ultrafast broadband.
