What a game! Cinderford U15s made the trip to Cheltenham North for their second league match of the season and came away with a brilliant 27–19 victory — built on teamwork, physicality, and some outstanding individual performances.

From the first whistle, the Cinderford forwards set the tone with dominant carries and quick ruck ball, allowing the backs to strike early. It wasn’t long before Owen broke through out wide to open the scoring. Moments later, some slick handling and support play saw Billy cross the whitewash, with Tyler C nailing the conversion to make it 12–0.

Cheltenham North weren’t going to roll over easily, and a spell of pressure saw them get on the scoreboard. But Cinderford hit back through Alex, who powered over from close range to extend the lead to 17–5. Unfortunately, an injury to Rueben caused a break in play and allowed the home side to regain momentum, scoring twice before the break to lead 19–17 at halftime.

The second half was all about grit and determination. Olli Evans made a storming run down the wing to pin the hosts back, and Cinderford’s pack began to take full control. A brilliant scrum steal from Fin allowed Tyler G to pounce and power over for the lead once again.

As tempers flared and the intensity rose, Cinderford held their nerve. Another powerful scrum created the space for Kai W to crash over out wide, sealing the win and silencing the home crowd. The conversion narrowly missed, but it didn’t matter — the visitors were in charge until the final whistle.

It was a tough, physical contest, but Cinderford’s composure and teamwork shone through to earn a well-deserved 27–19 victory.

Man of the Match: Captain Tyler Gwynne, for his leadership and cool head when it mattered most.
