Cinderford remain ten points clear at the top of National 2 (South) after over coming a spirited early challenge from Broadstreet to eventually emerge as comfortable winners.

The opening half an hour of the match was very evenly contested, with the only scores being an exchange of penalties by James Moffat and Cliffie Hodgson.  The momentum of the match began to change though once visiting centre Terence Babarinsa showed great strength to brush aside a couple of attempted tackles and score the opening try, which was converted by Moffat.  As half-time approached Cinderford went through the phases to set up an opportunity for Harry Hone to go over for a try, which Moffat converted.

The Foresters soon extended their lead after the interval when they kicked a penalty into the corner to set up an attacking lineout and a well executed catch and drive brought a try for hooker Tom Bozzard, again converted by Moffat.  The visiting forwards were now well in control and the try scoring bonus point was secured when following a series of pick and goes the ball was moved out to Liam Hemming, who stepped inside the cover defence to score.

Pressure on the home scrummage then led to the referee awarding Cinderford a penalty try, and despite some late pressure from their hosts the leader’s defence held firm as they made it 17 victories in a row.
