The Foresters took on the Cirencester visitors in a tense and closely fought encounter played at the Beavis Memorial ground. The home team had the majority of the possession in first half without converting any chances , Ashley Aitken and James Mainwaring were prominent in many of the best attacks and stand in Fly half Mitch Skelton was kicking well to relieve pressure .Progress was not helped by the early loss of the strong running Hugh Gibbs to a leg injury From a clean line out the Cirencester forwards started to string some good driving play together and an infringement allowed the visitors to kick a simple penalty .
The second half started with Ciren looking very dangerous in attack with their back line carving some big holes in the Forest defence and only last ditch defence keeping them at bay ,with second rows Chapman , Kemp and number eight Allcock tireless in this roll. Cinderford introduced replacements Adam Marsh and Harry Johnson into the fray and the fresh legs started to galvanise some Stirling driving play with Aodah O Carroll carrying strongly , from a rolling maul flanker Johnson peeled away to dive over for a crucial try. Cirencester stormed back up field but a knock on stopped a promising move allowing the Foresters to hang on for a well-deserved and hard fought victory.
