Cinderford produced a spirited performance against champions-elect Camborne, crossing for five tries despite falling to a 52–31 defeat on the road.

Facing one of the league’s strongest sides was always going to be a tough challenge, but there were plenty of positives for Cinderford to take from the contest, particularly in attack.

Camborne built a commanding first-half lead, going into the break 33–7 ahead, with Cinderford’s response coming through Brendan Llewelyn, whose try was converted by Sonny Greenman.

The visitors came out with renewed energy in the second half and showed real attacking intent. Dan Broady crossed twice, while Sam Smith and Jake Polledri also added tries to keep the scoreboard ticking over. Greenman added two further conversions to cap a determined second-half display.

Despite the result, Cinderford’s five-try return against the league leaders underlined their attacking quality and willingness to compete, providing plenty of encouragement moving forward.
