Cinderford U15s v Drybrook U15s
An estimated 400–500 supporters braved the cold and wet conditions to witness the latest chapter in the local derby between Cinderford and Drybrook U15s — and what a night it turned out to be.
Despite the miserable weather, the atmosphere inside Bell Sports & Rugby Park was electric. A packed and vocal stand created a fantastic backdrop for an evening of high-quality youth rugby, with both sides delivering a performance that was a true credit to Forest rugby.
Cinderford’s boys certainly brought the heat on a freezing night, producing an outstanding team display. Tries came from Owen Morgan, Alfie, Troy, Tyler C (3), Olli E (2) and Ollie W in what was an impressive attacking performance from the home side.
Full credit must go to Drybrook, who continued to compete and battle right through to the final whistle in true derby spirit.
After the match, Cinderford U15s coach Dave Evans commented:
“I’ve never seen Bell Sports & Rugby Park that full — and the noise could be heard for miles around.”
The support throughout the evening was simply incredible. The players were lifted by every cheer, chant and round of applause. Thank you to everyone who turned out in difficult conditions to back the boys — your energy made the occasion even more special.
Man of the Match was awarded to Tyler C for an outstanding all-round performance.
A special mention also goes to Mathew, who stepped in at fullback and made the position his own with a confident and composed display.
A fantastic night for Cinderford U15s, a brilliant advert for local rugby, and a reminder of just how strong the community support is around the club.
