Cinderford United held their nerve in the face of a determined second-half fightback from Smiths to secure an impressive 31–26 victory, maintaining their place at the top of Counties 2 Gloucestershire (Tribute Ale).
The visitors made a strong start, taking control early on with a confident attacking display. JJ Horrobin led the way with a brace of tries, while George Evans and Grady Alford also crossed to keep United firmly in the driving seat.
With the boot, Harry Tovey was flawless, converting all four tries and adding a penalty to keep the scoreboard ticking over and give United a crucial edge.
