Rams RFC completed a convincing victory over Cinderford to bolster their promotion challenge in National One.

It was the visitors who took a firm grip on the first half, with two consecutive tries by hooker Max Hayman from driving mauls.  The home side did their best to keep the clinical and effective Rams attack at bay, but a high penalty count began to cost them as the Rams capitalised to score two more by halftime from full-back Zach Clow and flanker Ben Atkins. Fly-half Fraser Honey converted two of the four tries to give the Rams a 24-point lead.

Rams kept their foot on the gas going into the second half with an early try by winger Charles Robson and the extras added by Honey. The remainder of the second half was much more competitive than the previous 50 minutes, however, the visitors were able to add one more to their try tally late in the game with a final score by replacement prop Calum Scott.  With just minutes left on the clock, Cinderford were able to push themselves up the field and score two tries to avoid a whitewash, with a try from Tom Knight which he then converted and they were awarded a penalty try in the final play.
