The Cinderford Stags secured a victory on the road against Luctonians with a scoreline of 27-15.

The match began at a sedate pace until Tom Reynolds impressive weaving run, evading multiple defenders to score the opening try of the game.  Despite Liam Littleton missing the conversion, the Stags took the lead. Luctonians swiftly responded with a try of their own, leveling the score at 5-5.  As the game progressed, Luctonians capitalized on their momentum to seize the lead, making it 10-5. However, the Stags mounted a spirited comeback with a brilliant break by Liam Littleton, who combined seamlessly with Reuben Hinds before Jake Hinds touched down under the posts, allowing Liam Littleton to convert and put Cinderford ahead at 12-10.  Before halftime, Cinderford’s dominance continued as Josh Warren’s observation led to Tom Ward scoring in the corner off a driving maul, extending their lead to 17-10.

The Stags maintained their intensity into the second half, with Reuben Hinds bursting through the defense to notch Cinderford’s fourth try, stretching the lead to 22-10.  A standout moment occurred when David Didcote exhibited remarkable vision, capitalizing on Liam Littleton’s cross-field kick to score, showcasing his potential as a winger for the Stags. The scoreline swelled to 27-10 in favor of Cinderford. Luctonians managed to claw back with a late try, but the Stags held firm to secure a well-deserved 27-15 win. Cinderford Stags now look ahead to their final match of the season against Bream 1st XV in the Combination Cup Final at Berry Hill Rugby Club next weekend.
