Nathan Taylor’s 100th National League try was one of seven Cinderford tries that helped the hosts defeat Camborne 43-24 at the Beavis Memorial Ground.

An early Cinderford surge saw a double from outside half Luke McMahon and another from Will Baldwin inside 20 minutes.  However, the visitors reacted to the early home pressure with an Alex Ducker score in the left-hand corner five minutes later.
But the home side kept on coming.  After a series of strong carries threatened the Camborne line, George Knowles rose with the ball from a heap of players to give his side a bonus point inside the first half hour.  Unwilling to lay down, a second Camborne try was added just a few moments later as Jack Andrew bundled over from meters out.

Then came the moment Nathan Taylor will never forget.  After a strong Cinderford maul, the hooker pushed his pack over and dotted down for his 100th try in the National Leagues and gave his side a well-deserved 19-point lead going into half time.

A chaotic second 40 began with Camborne’s Adam Hughes being sent to the bin inside its opening minutes.  Seconds later, a penalty try and another yellow for Camborne’s Jordan Nicholls ensued to keep Cinderford on top and a Folks-Underhill score gave the hosts complete control with just seven minutes of the second period played.  As the hour mark approached, things went from bad to worse for the away side as Aden Brassington was shown red after his frustrations were made evident in an on-field altercation.

The visitors had limited chances, but they soldiered on until the game’s finish. Their first points of the second half came from Kyle Moyle with 25 minutes left to play and secured a bonus point with the last points of the fixture.  Joshua Matavesi scored to ensure the visitors didn’t leave completely emptied handed.
